If you are interested here is a site where you can take practice test. AA9PW FCC Exam Practice In all my years as a ham I haven't bought many used rigs I always look for the "deals" everyone seems to get but have found most of the used gear isn't that far off new price so I have gone that route.
Thanks. I will use that when I finish studying the course material. Actually, so far the things I've been reading have been very helpful since I just went thru the process of choosing and installing a battery bank for my "new to me" camper. Im boondocking as I build my house and the info so far is a nice review and explanation of some of the electrical principals I was struggling with to get my off grid power set up.
As for the prices, I have found that when I offer a really good deal I generate less interest because people assume it is junk. And the interest you get is people who are trying to rip you off and flip it. That "spider sense is tingling" feeling when you start to feel that you are deaing with shady people makes me hate selling things. I don't usually want them coming to my house.
