Amazon?

Years ago I switched to Dollar Shave Club. Some podcast was running a sponsor promo and so I tried them. No complaints and you can tweak the shipment. There's another company that does the same thing. Drawing a blank on the name.
Harry's?

Where items are manufactured and by who is not controlled by Amazon (like it is for Apple).
I can get tools from US, Germany, China etc. on their site.
Sure. They are a vendor of items from multiple sources. Just like any store. The same manufacturer in china sells the same item under different labels/paint colors, etc and made to different quality specs to all kinds of wholesale buyers too.

I hope this helps clarify this statement - "Amazon works for me and so does Prime. If it does not work for others, then they should not use Amazon or Prime."
Oh yeah, that statement is perfectly clear. It's just different circumstances that make the difference from one person to the next it it "Works" for them or not. We are all trying to see if there is a better deal out there.

A price I've found inordinately high at Amazonie is mach III blades. I get them off of Ebay for far less.
I use an old school double edge safety razor. Amazon sells the good quality blades for $10-15/100 blades.

Working someone 10 hrs like a robot with minimal breaks is not reasonable for the long term. That is why many companies deserve unions. In fact I would try to work in a union if I wasn't a "professional".
LOL You ought to be a truck driver. A 10 hour day meant I was home a couple of hours early. When I was over the road, there was no overtime, just a schedule to keep. This was before electronic logbooks and during the paper "comicbooks" that drivers kept themselves. Fifteen hours a day wasn't unusual.

We still do it to keep our very well paying dedicated routes, you just have to be very crafty and REALLY stretch the very grey area of PC. My route is 735mi a day, 5 days, well 811 on Friday so I can get home.... Find your diners, call ahead and get them to cut your food up so you can chow while driving. No one wants to work like that these days, it's paid for 2 Dr's and 600 acres. Now that I can actually chill..... I don't want too.

Amazon and Prime save me 20 hours a week shopping, lets not even get into the obscure 12-24 by 5/8ths oval head screws you need to sort out your sharpening jig.... can't get that stuff anywhere in Clarksville without waiting 3 weeks. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

I'm sure sitting in a seat for 10 hrs can be grueling dealing with traffic but I wouldn't compare it to 10 hrs standing doing mind numbing repetitive tasks all the while with the pressure of meeting an hourly quota.

There are jobs everywhere today. Nobody is required to stay at a job they don’t like. Many people do this to themselves by being too lazy to get vocational skills training or advanced education for a better career. The US employment market is full of abundant opportunities. People create their own situations.

So someone who, for whatever reason, can't move to other opportunities should be taken advantage of by a greedy corporation? That makes sense.

I've had to put up with a B.S. employer and positions because I had a family to support and a mortgage. Even as an engineer I found it difficult to find other gainful opportunities. Now imagine being over 50 and trying to find a decent job.
