Amazon?

At least Bezos isn’t a con man and gives his customers true value for their purchases.
Just treats his warehouse employees like literal slaves.

Do you know that for a fact? Or is this just an assumption?

I know of a couple employees that were able to work it out so they could come in later do to child care restrictions.

And the employees at the Amazon plant next door seem to be happy enough at there job. At least thats what they have told me while standing in line getting lunch up the street.

They are paying $3.00 to $5.00 an hour more for new hires then what other factories and warehouses in the area are starting out at. Better benefits as well.

From what I've seen inside the plant, it looks similar to the bumper to bumper distribution warehouse, as well as o'rileys. Just on a larger scale.

They can quit if they aren’t happy. Lots of jobs out there. But they don’t quit because they receive BENEFITS. Something that is rare for jobs that don’t require either specific skills or education.

Know this... how? Last I seen, slaves don't get paid and have benefits. Funny how people wanna claim this about big companies and yet there is no shortage of people waiting in line to work there..

I will say he's making big jack by the size of the yacht he's having built in Stockholm. I will also say that Amazon delivery drivers have to be the poorest drivers I've ever seen. Not only cannot they not back up, they tend to ignore basic traffic signals too. They suck.

I see that UPS, Fed Ex and Amazon are competing for employees here at least. About ever month they up the ante somehow. Heck, if I want to work for someone, I could be employed tomorrow. I'm gainfully retired and plan on staying that way.

And the aging of the US workforce is one reason why there are so many job vacancies. The baby boomers have retired or will do so soon.

You might add that the up and coming generation really don't want to work anyway. One of my buddies runs a large steel processing plant and he told me his hiring and firing of workforce is like a revolving door.
