I'm considering this log splitter aka "the big one" with a few options e.g.: 4 way wedge, log lift, and hitch extension. They're made in NY and sold thru dealers. The AM25S has a 6 sec. cycle time and "is a favorite of commercial operations". I'm not commercial, but have tried vertical machines and had to wrestle billets onto the plate, some 36" dia. and over 200lbs. Now my lower back really hurts and I no longer want to swing the maul or lift logs up onto a splitter. I can get a log lift with this model that would appear to do the heavy lifting for me.
My New Holland tractor dealer sells them; but, he wants $4450.00.
Has anyone used or bought one?
How much time does the lift table add to the cycle?
Does anyone know of competitive pricing for these?

So I said to myself "go ahead and buy it". Maybe I'll tell you about it when it comes in.

I didn't have info so I never replied to your original post, but I'm all ears if you want to give us a report on it once you get it.
