( Dave that's a great looking multi-use box you have there. Looks like a good sturdy way to mount it too. It might even make a good place to stash your lunch if your headed out to the field to do a days work and don't want to come back for lunch.

If I had one like that I could fill it with my lunch and still have room for a few tools.

I don't eat much, lets see I might pack 2 Big Mac's, 1 fillet-o-fish sandwich, 2 large order of fries, 2 Snickers candy bars, a bag of chips for when I get real hungry later in the day, and a thermos of Gatorade. Oops, almost forgot the screwdriver, I can still squeeze that in there too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

In all seriousness I do like the toolbox guys. )

Good idea Mike. I hadn't thought about the food aspect. Snack food in my case. A plastic container in there, for protection from the chains, and filled with goodies would do just fine.

Dave,
Don't forget you can also store some ammo in those ammo boxes for your sacabbard mounted rifle especially in the smaller .30 cal one. Or it would be a perfect place for a pistol, ammo and flashlight.

Don't think for a minute that I haven't thought about this. Sometimes it'd be mighty nice to whip out that scabbard 30-30 and dispatch a few hundred pound rats that eat every thing green in sight.
