I finally got sick and tired of having chains on the floor boards while alternately moving dirt and boulders.

So, to make up for the spendy approach on the cup holder, I cheaped out on the approach for the tool and chain box.

I'd bought two ammo boxes for this purpose and tried to mount the smaller one here on the lower plate. I wan't really happy with the approach and had the boxes sitting around for a year.

Here is a shot of the smaller box on the loader cross support arm. The larger box wouldn't fit here on the arm.

But, I figured the larger box would fit on the cross brace you can see in the previous picture. So, I cut up some scrap metal into L brackets and mounted them to the bottom of the larger ammo box, shown here in this picture.

Here is a side view of the ammo box bolted to the brace.

Here is view from the front with the loader down. Enough clearance on both sides. I chose to mount the box closer to the loader arm to not interfere with the engine cooling air. There is a finger width between the arm and box.

Here is the mounted box from the underside. Showing why the brackets were at an angle.
