The .410 to 9mm, 3 inch smooth adapter finally came in. Son hit water jug 5 out of 5 times at 20 yards with it, so no complains. No recoil and cheap shooting. The .410 high brass, high velocity loads weren't bad either.

So, I have a gun and shooting related question for the other Florida guys (I imagine Sound guy probably knows, but maybe others would too). I know there is a new Florida law regarding residential recreational shooting. I've heard the gist is: no recreational shooting in "areas with more than one home per acre". That's not words pulled from a legal document, so the wording might not be exact, but. It's odd, cause it doesn't say your property must be 1 acre or larger, or but it's more than one home per acre. I also ready, very early on, and in news story that the 2nd part of the pretty much Allows shooting on larger pieces, regardless of local city/town and HOA rules. I Google'd but all I got was a bunch of newspaper story's that didn't really explain any details.

Edit: i live in an HOA, 2 and 5 acre lots, maybe one home per 5 lots average; but one of the rules is "no shooting or hunting". I generally ignore the rule, but I would like to be able to give them a copy of the law to "insert in their complaint box" if you get my drift :)

Hoa can make there own laws within the development. Like type of mail box or color of paint. You might slip by with a pellet rifle if no neighbors to rear. As long as no one said anything.
We were going to be fined $100@ day if sidewalk wasn't pressure cleaned by a certain date.

I would never buy a house with a HOA. Enuff problems with county laws let alone some yahoo's.

Yeah, HOA is not an ideal situation.. I realize millions of homeowners live with them, but I am glad I don't. The thought of some groups boot on my neck does not please me much.

I would also never buy a house without the mineral rights either. I've seen some shady stuff since they found the Marcells shelf here.

Ours basically does nothing, but I still don't like the idea. They really only exist to maintain the air strip (fly in community), but it's always there, with the possibility of some neighborhood ****** wanting to define what is "junk" vs what's not. We actually got a letter one time, showing they spent like 65% of their budget going after people for not paying dues. With it came a statement asking everyone to pay, but they simply couldn't afford to go after people for non payment. Guess when I made my last payment, lol

Carefull as they can and do have a right to put a lien on your property for dues.

Yeah, I know, and if it comes to it, I can and will pay, but in the mean time, I prefer to not "feed the beast"
