For all of you that use amsoil products give me your opinion. Time to change front differential and hubs on front wheel assist tractor. I know what a gear builder for Nascar told me. I have looked at some independent test results and while amsoil is not the best in every catogory it has the best overall protection (in the top 3 in all if not first. I know this might strike a nerve with some but the tests I looked at actually the base gear oil performed better than the oil with Lucas additive in it.

not using amsoil, but have a truck that had used all amsoil products in it up untill I got it. i switched it to valvoline synthetic ( everything.. ps, tranny, gear oil, engine..e tc.

got a few thou on it since i bought it. no issues since switching.. not that I expected any.

when dealer got the truck on trade, they drained out all that good syn oil and did a dino change / service on everything unfortunately.. so about a week after I got the truck I put it back on syn.. i guess I can count the week of dino oil as a flush.. :)

I use all Amsoil products in all my equipment, Very good stuff. My New Boomer got all amsoil fluids when I did the 50 hour service. . I got tired of going to the store and finding that they didn't have or quit handling the brand I used. Found Amsoil on the net and signed up for a perfered customer, then several other people wanted some and signed up as a dealer. And no I don't use it because I'm a dealer, I use it because to me it's good stuff.

use it (Amsoil) and love it. Many do not and this topic has been on here for years. There gear fluid and ATF is great! Their fluid will out perform all out there!

I'm pretty much use it in most everything, mainly there motor oil, but some of there other stuff also. I'll give a couple of examples on why I use it.

I have an air compressor that is an oiled unit. How many people change there oil in a compressor very often? Not me. I changed it about 2 nights ago. This thing is about 10 years old and I've only changed the oil once. It always looks clear when you look in the fill plug. I ordered some Amsoil compressor oil and when I drained the old, I was shocked. All the crap had settled to the bottom and it looked awfull. I hoping the Amsoil stands the abuse a little better.

Another is the gear box on my mower deck for my BX2350. You are suppose to change the grease in it every 50 hours I think. I probably had over a 100 on it when I changed it. I figure using Amsoil will allow for a little longer interval and make up for the fact that I don't change it as often as I should.

A lot of vehicles say change the oil every 6 months. I don't, I go more by the miles, and with Amsoil I don't feel so bad by extending this out to 7000 miles or a little more.

So if your one of those people that change your oil every 3000 miles in your vehicles, do the maintenance on your tractor on time, take care of your small engines on time, your wasting your money going to Amsoil. For me, where I have 4 vehicles to maintain, a tractor, half a dozen small engines, it just makes sense. I'm not saying it lets you skip regular maintance, but if Amsoil allows me to only change the oil once a year in a lot of my stuff, that can save me a lot of time in a year.

Amsoil is on of the best, but not always the very very best. That being said, I have been using it since 1988.

The F-150 that I bought new, and puts Amsoil in at around 10K. With analysis and regular filter changes (usually around 6K for filter changes), I went as far as 35K with out changing oil. 4.9 L-6 in the truck, and never did any engine work on it. 385k when I sold it. Still did not use any oil, and got 20 MPG on the road. I worked that truck HARD! Pulled 8K farm wagons, and all kinds of machinery. Had Amsoil in the entire drive line, 4X4. When I changed the rear diff, I tested it on this hill on I-83 near Parkton, MD. With the syn gear lube it picked up 3 MPH going down the hill, and with the Dino oil, it lost 1 MPH on the same hill.

All engines on this farm use Amsoil, as well as my dodge cummins, and the 706 and 1066 IH's. The tractors easily go 200 hrs on oil changes, and still come back from analysis, fit for continued service. I wish I could use Amsoil in the trans, but they leak too much. The Amsoil replacement for Hytrans only comes in 55's, and is just to expensive to leak that much.

Use the Amsiol if they have the proper fluid for your application, and you will not regret the switch.

We have used it and it is truely good stuff, I am particularly fond of their 2-stroke oils as they won't cause fouling of the pulgs or excessive smoke even when mixed at 32:1.

We do not currently use it in any 4-stroke engines, the modern oils are good enough and service intervals short enough were four times the cost of oil is just not justified.

I agree. I use their Saber at 100 to 1 in 455 racher saw, 2 EB630 blowers and a old Echo 21000 weed eater...Love there oil....

I also run their Saber oil, I just can't run as lean as 100:1. I know they swear by it, but I run it at 50:1

I've been using it for several yrs now. All my 2 cycle stuff gets saber @ 100-1 mix
