Put a barrel half full of water under it and drown them as they drop off. Then go out and collect them every hour and make squirrel gravy.

If you dont like the Grey ones, introduce Fox Squirrels. I've never seen a place have both.
The only problem with that is the grey squirrels are far more agressive than the fox squirrels and will run them off, hence you never see both. Greys have basically made the fox squirrels in my area extinct kind of like the black buzzards have replaced the turkey vultures. I haven't seen a turkey vulture in over 20 years.

I enjoy shooting varmints. When there is not much wind the .22 PCP is good to 50 yards. If windy or up to 100 yards, the .22 Velocitors do well. I am adding a suppressed .300 BO this year with 110gr Vmax bullets for longer ranges and windy days.

I took out about 20 ground squirrels and chipmunks last year.

Strange. Fox squirrels are much bigger. Maybe it is regional.

For what it is worth, we have both types of vultures around here. The two even share big carcasses. One reason you may see black vultures more is that they don't migrate like a turkey vulture. Black ones are slowly moving north, while turkey vultures range goes into Canada. So, at different times of year, the turkey vulture may be on holiday from your area.

To a certain degree, black vultures depend on turkey vultures to locate food. Black ones can't smell, they 'hunt' by sight. They will follow a turkey vulture to a carcass. Black ones are also more likely to eat small live critters.

Smothered squirrel and rice with some turnip greens. If you feed them, they will come.

...
They might be bigger, but they are pretty docile and the grays chase them aggressively. We have mostly fox squirrels, red squirrels, and black squirrels. There are some gray, but not too many. And flying squirrels as well.
