Put a barrel half full of water under it and drown them as they drop off. Then go out and collect them every hour and make squirrel gravy.
The only problem with that is the grey squirrels are far more agressive than the fox squirrels and will run them off, hence you never see both. Greys have basically made the fox squirrels in my area extinct kind of like the black buzzards have replaced the turkey vultures. I haven't seen a turkey vulture in over 20 years. If you dont like the Grey ones, introduce Fox Squirrels. I've never seen a place have both.
Strange. Fox squirrels are much bigger. Maybe it is regional. The only problem with that is the grey squirrels are far more agressive than the fox squirrels and will run them off, hence you never see both. They might be bigger, but they are pretty docile and the grays chase them aggressively. We have mostly fox squirrels, red squirrels, and black squirrels. There are some gray, but not too many. And flying squirrels as well.Strange. Fox squirrels are much bigger. Maybe it is regional.
