Backhoe An idea for a backhoe controller

...which might be harder than it sounds

Concur. Good idea, but I think my fore-arm would get pretty tired twisting that lever. Not to mention the coordinated twisting and other movement. If it were an electronically controlled device (like a large excavator's joysticks) where you weren't actually producing the FORCE necessary to open the valves, only the INPUT, then it would be ultra cool. But now you're just talking about a really expensive thing.

I was VERY frustrated with the levers for the first 20 hours. Now, my BH is like an extension of my arm and hand. Of course I probably have 60+ hours in the seat. Probably 60% to 75% of my tractor's hours are in BH use. The last large project I did with my BH, I was sorting dirt clumps from root matter and sticks, making seperate piles for each...all with the BH bucket and no thumb. Pretty efficiently, I might add.

Need some of them forks, though.

And I love the sketch.
