I saw this truck in a Wal-mart parking lot today, which is one heck of a truck for running errands. What I find most interesting is the swap to single wheels in the rear. I'd wonder if the guy carries two separate spares, although I can't imagine him whipping out a bumper jack and swapping a tire on the shoulder of a road.

There is one near me like that, I see it at the local grocery store. The one here doesn't have any toolboxes, just a long bed with a nice cover that hinges up. This one is a 2010 or 2011. With the fancy wheels, tonneau cover, it really isn't a work truck, but a grocery getter. I don't even want to think about what it costs to keep that thing fueled. The wheels aren't set up like that one tho.

If it's a diesel, fuel isn't that much more costly over a big block gas engine. Before I retired I drove an F800 box truck with the 5.9 Cummins and automatic, city/hiway mileage was about an average of 11-12. My Yukon XL 2500 gives me 13-14 average with the 6.0 gas V8.

As a former truck driver I would love to have a rig like the picture shows, but the payments wouldn't fit in a retired guy's budget. At least one of those would be easy to find in the parking lot.

No need for two spares. Just carry one like what is on the front and it will get you home.

I've seen a few of the monster pick ups like that, GMs also. I like the tool box but not the visor.

Just wonder how the ride would be, so light like that ?

Just reverse mortgage everything, leave nothing but bills behind :)

That's probably the most "normal" picture I've ever seen with the heading "as see:Dn at Wal Mart"
