Rozett, I didn't follow the last couple of comments on this thread by you an IHCrules. What dealer are you talking about that is a couple of miles away? I live in Raymond, ME by the way.

Thanks,

There is an implement dealer on Rt 11 in Limington, just before the Limerick line. Known as "It'l Do It", they sell used and (a few) new attachments, wagons, etc. They are nice folks, but my experience has been that they get top dollar for their equipment. Occaisionally, they will have a old tractor. The nearest Cub dealer to me is Abbott in Waterboro. But they are really into selling snowmobiles and ATV's. Their parts invenotry sells at book prices. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

We were lamenting the closure (2 years ago) of Land Power Tractor in Freedom, NH.

There is a new CC dealer on rt 26 in Oxford. They also sell Husqvarna. I haven't tried them out yet.

Rozett,

Ditto on Land Power closing. I got a heck of a deal on my 7234 and the ladies in the office took good care of me when I needed something ordered. When Bob Battles quoted me a price on the tractor I couldn't believe the price. Thought about it, talked to my wife, and then called him back and he confirmed his quote. When he delivered the tractor he said he had actually confused me with another customer and had under priced the tractor but he stuck with the deal. The rest is history.

IH, I've stopped a few times on the weekends to look at the dealer's selection on 26. Not sure about his tractor prices although the chippers he carrys are priced about average.

I am a cub dealer, as everyone is saying... the smaller compacts are Kioti's, the larger Mitsu and are retailed by a few other companies as well. We choose not to carry them and sell Kubota instead.

the smaller compacts are Kioti's

The largest tractors that Cub Cadet markets are the 8000 series, manufactured by Daedong(Kioti).

Cub 8454, 8404, 8354

The smaller Mitsu's Cubs.... 20, 26 and 30HP tractors on now being marketed by Mahindra.

Mahindra's

What was your 7275 valued at? I am looking at one now that is a 1995 with a loader and Woods 750 Hoe on it. It has around 1300 hours on it. I was wondering what the real value of it is?

I have a 1996 Cub 7275 (986 hours) with a similar problem. There are four 12 mm bolts on the left, 4 on the right. I replaced them all, re-tapped the threads on the left and applied locktight and tightened to 85 ft lbs. They are coming loose again on the side that I didn't re-tap.

There are also four 14 mm bolts connecting the frame to the engine block at the front. These are easy to miss. When I noticed them, two had already worked loose and vanished.

I have a backhoe attachment and the six bolts mounting a plate over the central pivot have worked loose. Nuts holding down plates over the pins in the front end loader have also worked loose. I have started to replace these with nylon self-locking nuts -- so far so good.

I feel I have to check bolt tightness every ten hours and am getting fed up. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I replaced all my bolts with longer ones. I also used Loc-Tite on them. I have not had a problem since then.

I have the woods hoe (same as the the original cub how) - the groundbreaker 7500 and the gimbal bearing top plate was indeed working loose, so I got new bolts from the dealer (ouch) and used locknuts on the bottom - never a peep since.

my engine bolts I took out and put washers under the head and loctite 320? on the threads and about 90ft lbs - so far so good. where are these 4 bolts on the front? I need to check that....
