If you post this dealers telephone # here on TBN. Then your fellow Tractor Friends here can call this Dealer and Personelly Ask Him, To Please Fix Your Tractor.
Do not post the phone number.

What Jim, or any other TBNer, does on his own is their business (obviously) but do not use TBN to promote something like this.

Time is better spent assisting Jim to find the parts he needs so he can repair the tractor, sell it and move on with his project.

Hey Mike,

I was blind, but Now I see your point clearly now. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was totally overlooking the bigger picture of TBN. I mean that Dealer, might even go after TBN, and then what? Where would we be then?

It is much better for Jim to cave in and just go along with getting taken to the cleaners. We here at TBN, don't want to make any waves that might be construed as controversial.

Just do as Mike says Jim, and Roll On Over and just play Dead. Just take your beating like a good Little American.

Joe,
I believe if you have been following the story, you would be aware of the fact his orriginal post was deleted because of just that.

If you or anyone else would like the info, I'm sure Jim would give you this info on a PM, just dont ask him to get his pee pee slapped again. You have a valid point, but its a private decision, not TBN's bussiness.

Hey HGM,

You're right.

Jim sent me the #'s on PM. I did call the dealer and they said that Frankie was out of the Country. Imagine That. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

His Wife is handleing this I think, but not sure.

I do believe that if enough people called about Jim's Tractor, that it very well could make a big difference in favor of Jim.

I mean, Jim, didn't get much use out of his tractor at all, and now it is down, and in a squabble.

Believe it or not, this is one of the dealer/Wholesalers, that I considered buying from, when I was in the buyer's market, 2 years ago. Frankie, told me that he was a Wholesaler to many many smaller Dealers, but that he would also make a sale to one person also.

Buying a Tractor for just about all of us, is a huge part of our buying budget, and I just hate for this to happen to anybody.

When you think about it, a Tractor is nothing more, than a powerful Tool, to try and accomplish our projects, which are usually on our own properties. Which makes purchasing, owning, & operating a tractor, so personal for most all of us, excepting the ones that don't have a budget.

Thanks HGM, and don't give up Jim.

Please read my entire post. At no point did I tell Jim to roll over and take it. In fact, I didn't advise Jim to do anything. All I said was not to use TBN as the vehicle to plan and coordinate activities against the dealer that might place both him and TBN at risk. Assisting Jim getting his tractor back up and running is fine. Coordinating retaliation is not.

Jim can arrange and coordinate whatever he wants to do against the dealer privately. He can send you and everyone else the phone number via email, his own website, etc.

When you joined TBN, you agreed to abide by the Terms of Service.

Hey Mike,

I guess that it is about time for me to reread the rules that I agreed to. I don't want to get a reputedly reputation, as a Rule Breaker. I drive mostly really slowly and only drink when riding the motorbike. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Which is not Drinking and Driving, because I am Drinking and Riding. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

TBN is a very nice Forum and I am appreciative of being able to be a member.

Coordinating Retaliation? What!!!! Was I doing that? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It sure seemed like a good idea to me though.

I thought that was one of the things that American's were well known for. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Jusk Joking Mike.

Come on Mike, Lit'n up a little bitty bit, it was just a Phone Calling Campaign and maybe some Signs on a Stick type of little get together, but I guess that might have turned into a riot of some sort. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I guess somebody, might have put their sign on the end of their 12 guage stick. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Get your tractor running Mike, &
Have a nice day,

The neat thing about Mike's most recent post is that while he makes the necessary rules very clear, he also [just slightly more subtlely] explains how Jim can carry out his actions of choice without jepordizing TBN [my appologies if I misread, Mike]:

i.e. Jim has a particular tool for his personal use. Especially as it exists and existed for purely personal use, there's no reason he can't recommend we take at look at said tool [and I believe he's already provided the address] to check out his farming efforts. If, along with his farming efforts, it happens to contain information about a certain dealer, well that's his business.

I'm no lawyer, so no idea how websites apply to law; but I'd still keep it as factual as possible to avoid a libel situation.

Anyway, Jim I'm cheering for you!
