And that's not the only thing that's been assembled incorrectly on my YM2000, I am amazed this poor thing still runs as well as it does. It speaks volumes of the rugged Yanmar design, and OEM parts used!

I have a set of manuals, so when I get home from Sunnyvale Cal, this weekend, I'll try to figure it out and/or post the manual's adjustment procedure. Hope this will help others, as well me. But I hope I don't mess it up in the process since it seems to work fine as is.

Come to think of it Yanmar Tractors -- Parts -- Sales -- Service is on my way to the property so I guess I can swing by and ask for directions on how to do this particular adjustment.

I'll let you know the end of next week....

Well guys I am back in town and have not been able to find something of substance in the manuals. So, tomorrow I'll go to the Yanmar dealer in order to buy a spare key, and to enquire on the proper adjustment of the feedback rod. Then on to the property to play, where I have no Internet so I'll report back when I get home on Sunday.

The dealer wasn't much help this time, no spare key available, plus no precise answer as to how to adjust/fine tune the lift hydraulics. So I fiddled with the valves and rod on mine enough to believe it is now adjusted correctly. The lift speed seems proper, and it appears to hold any load I put on it. The way I figured it out was to go from adjustment extreme to the other and back off to where it appears to make sense.

Sorry I can't be of more help!
