Anatomy of a NASCAR wreck

OK, I probably shouldn't say this.
In the picture taken from last years race, I see the 31 & 20 cars in the background. Were either involved in Sadler's incident?
I checked my notes but only found somthing about a 27 car wreck on lap 4 of the first 2003 Talladega race.

I believe Sadler was the only one who had damage. It believe what happened was the 97 car of Kurt Busch drifted up on Sadler and got him loose. Elliot got light in the rear and went airborne. Once Elliot came back down to the ground he went low on the track before he started his rolls.

Dang! Tractors are just like NASCARS; it's always best to keep the rubber side down! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So you think he got a fine for saying the "s" word. You know he said it more than one time

Not unless he knew he was being broadcast. Every so often the network carrying the race will broadcast chat between a driver and crew chief or their spotter. A few expletives have been broadcast when that was done. Of course the driver didn't know he was on the air. I haven't heard anything bad lately, maybe they are doing a delay on those. I listen through a scanner when I go to the races. Some of the drivers are cleaner than others. Some don't say much at all. Earnhardt Sr was really quiet on the radio unless the car had a problem. Ernie Irvin was one of the most foul mouthed ones I ever heard. I've heard Michael Waltrip tell jokes. Listening to the scanner is half the experience at the race.

Jr. could probably care less about a fine. It's the 25 point penalty he's not happy about. That pushed him down to 2nd.

Yea but for that? most TV anymore has far worse that the "s" word

I'm with you on there being a lot worse on TV, but it was on network TV. The S word is a no-no.

And if he losses the championship by less than 25 points we will never hear the end of it.
