KIOTI CK30HST, RTV-X1100C
The CK30HST, FEL,BH arrived here yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Was not here so I hopped on after church this afternoon and tried her out. Boy is this going to be a back saver. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Spent a little on the hoe but moved a triaxle load of shale and some over growth. I did come up with a couple of question for you guys though.

1. The main boom cylinder leaks off 3 to 4 inches while I am running the machine(FEL) in about 15 minutes and I have to stop a lift it back up. I know I have read that they leak off some but should it be that much /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

2. The machine probably ran for 2 hours today and the meter never moved. Is that a common occurance?

3. Any body had trouble when getting a full bucket with it coming over the top and on the hood? Guess I will have to get an old conveyor belt and add about 6 inches to the top.

Just so you know. I am not complaining. A shovel wheel boro (think that is how it is spelled) would have taken a couple of days. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Check your hoses for leaks where they connect to the cylinders, I've had a loose connection or two there.
The hour meter only shows hours, I'm guessing if you ran it two and nothing is showing, it's probably not working.

My hour meter tends to log more hours than Im actually on it.
But on the other hand it seems like I've been married 150 years. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I heard some reports of an unhooked wire on some.
The factory runs them 1 hour---does yours show 1 hour??
My fel doesnt leak down I think at all.

No loose hoses or leaks. It is the hoe main boom that drops While running the tractor and using the FEL. The hour meter showed 2 when it arrived and still shows 2.

It sounds to me as though the wire running from the alternator to the hour meter may have come loose. You should definitely be getting some action on it. I'd have the dealer fix it under warranty though if he/she is not too far away. Otherwise, there are some on here who have already dealt with this and can run you through it.
As for the hoe, a few inches of leak down is not that unusual on the Kioti hoes, probably not a big deal. Rather than the boom, on mine, it's the stabilizers. They will move 3-6" over about 30 minutes, but it doesn't bother me at all. Just make sure you keep an eye on your hydro fluid level, and look for any obvious leaks, but it can still bleed down even when full.
When checking for leaks at the hoses, always use a piece of cardboard or similar, not your hands because the pressure can be high enough to put the fluid right through your skin and cause major damage. Having heavy gloves on along with the cardboard is recommended.

On the hr meter......look under your right foot floor board, there will be quite a few little bundles of wires there. Check to see if they are all plugged together. There is a single plug wire there too, be sure it is together.

Thanks! I called the dealer this morning and he informed me of the same only under the left floor board. It was a single purple wire. After hooking it up I started the machine and in just a couple of minutes it went from 2 to 4 hours. Must have had the time stored somewhere and when connected it registered. I worked about 1.5 hours this morning and it is now at 5. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Strange thing about the CK 30 running time meters. Mine logged up to 9 hrs at what seemed a pretty consistant rate, tho I didn't actually put a clock to it. Then it stopped counting and I had done at least 3 hrs of backhoe work with it. I too checked the single pink wire connector under the floor board and I also pulled and reconnected the connector on the FFT controller (on the firewall lower right) It is working again. I hate it when a gremlin has been exorsized but I don't know how it happened for sure! The clock time hour meter I orderd to install as a backup is backordered so I have yet to do an experiment to see if the Kioti meter is truely proportional to engime revs...but I have every reason to believe it is. Therefore if you are running the engine at around 1800 r's while you learn the fine points of stick feathering on the hoe it'll take an hour and a half of clock time to register an hour on the dash. The shop manual does not describe this circuit function well at all.

It is my understanding that the CK25/20 have a digital hour meter that runs in real time all the time, not from the RPM. I've seen posts both ways, but as far as I know, only the analog such as I have on my CK20 runs from RPM.
