Tractor
Kubota B7800
I am not one who post very often, but here goes. Been looking at the full gambit of tractors for the past three years. Bought a grey market unit a year ago, liked it but so did my BIL. I took a Job transfer to another state. Sold the grey to my BIL.
Got the itch to get another, resume the search. Looked at an Agco st35x, liked it, but not enough to buy it. Snooped around the Green lot for awhile, nice, couldn't justify the coin they were asking to play. Took a couple of NH for a ride. They were nice ...but they didn't grab me. Looked at mahdra, jinma, kama, MF, Kioti, Scorpion, a couple more brands(korean, chineese and India). Finally I looked at a Kubota. Did a little research, made my case to my wife and when she left town this weekend to visit relatives, bamb, I purchased a Kubota B7800. Ya baby, thats what I am talking about, This is one kick machine. B7800, 402FEL, and B2782 Snowblower. This snow blower is going to pick of the stuff in my drive way and dump it back into Canada...and continue to do it for many many years. Top it off I got the dealer to throw in three hats and for my little boy he got a riding toy tractor. Price was excellent, financing at 0% is great, and the dealer said thanks.

When we talked on the phone last night she was nearly as pumped as I was about the tractor. When I made my case to her about getting this tractor, I was debating over the 7800 or getting the 7610. I just was not sure that the 7610 was going to be large enough to handle 5 foot implements. My wife stated "Since the larger one isn't all that much more and it will last forever, you should just get that one. If you get the smaller one you might end up saying, "I wish I had a bigger tractor", but I doubt you'll EVER say "I wish I had a smaller tractor."" There is some wisdom in that woman. The dealer told me that 7610 would handle the 5 foot stuff, but the 7800 would work less as hard with 5 foot implements. The distance between the seat and the fender controls was a little greater on the 7800, the extra fender mud guards and the three speed HST were the items that got me into 7800.

MapleSyruping,

I started with a B2910 and it is still what I think of as "my tractor."

Had to smile about your wife's comment though...when I walked outside between my B and BX. More than a few members here have multiple tractors... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Most probably started with one... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

All I can say is...well...Watch out! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

PS...never hurts to prove the wife wrong once in a while.../forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't forget to post a picture or two when you get the new machine...
