Cliff I have never yet had an excuse to use this concoction but understand that it has merit. Having two dogs myself I'm sure it will happen sooner or later.

I've heard of that formula before, specifically on Myth Busters. We have a comercial version which costs a lot more than the ingredients, but we just grab the bottle and head for the tub. We've found that the other ingredient is speed. The faster you get them washed the better, so having a bottle ready to go is worth it.

A good electrostatic air cleaner installed on the furnace would help you as well. Whenever my wife gets to cooking I turn ours on full blast. I normally can tell when the meal is finished as the smoke detector starts going off. My sweetie really likes to cook though........ Anybody got a mint? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
