woops - hit return too fast: If your soil is like ours - heavy clay - even a heavy 3point disc might not work. Mine didnt' even w/a 8' RR tie & a 5' piece of RR rail chained to the top. I ended up breaking out my 2 bottom plow & after it was all turned over let it sit for a while & then hit it w/the disc. That worked for me. I plan on adding composted horse manure to help w/the drainage. Here's a photo of our developing blueberry patch.

If you're really going to fill the pipe with concrete, I'd recommend 10" corrugated drain tile not pipe. You will pay through the nose for any pipe bigger than 4". You will have to firmly attached the end caps on the tile though so the concrete doesn't blow them off.
