And the Strongbox from Deere is $139 ??

Just put a strong box in my 4210. I think it was $119. If you go by the 22NF size most of them are rated at 350cca. The SB is 500cca and is what the tractor spec calls for I believe. It is taller than the 22NF. The dealer had both and the 22NF restickered excide, which I have had several problems with, was 350cca and more money.

My original deere battery leaked acid and there were many threads online here about successfully switching to AGM Optimas...leak free. This Exide I'm ordering is AGM and costs much less than the $220 Optima. Time will tell if it is a good battery or not.

Mine leaked as well. Looking at the front of the battery there is a cap on the rhs and a vent on the lhs. I plan to run a tube down the left side to vent under the radiator and if it leaks again ot will be out rhe tube. That is where mine was leaking. I suspect internal expansion and external vent. Bad design but overall good battery performance.
