As tempting as that 0%/48 was, the positively horrible response of the local blue dealer sealed the deal for me. So I saved $2k and the tractor gets paid off 2 years earlier. Thanks to the positive comments here and my field tests, I'm confident I bot a great little CUT, but I'm sure to be asking my share of questions in the summer to come. In the meantime, for the curious, here's the local upstate NY Finger Lakes Region pricing... B7610 new in crate, 352 FEL w/ grill guard, RCK 60" MMM, R4s, weight box, block heater, arm rests, back light, 50 hr filters/fluids, pickup & dlv for 3 yr warranty period and the hat... $15,600 no tax. Based on out-of-town quotes, I paid a couple hundred extra to keep the dealer within 20mins, certainly worth it IMO. Gonna be tough waiting for them to put it together and deliver... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Welcome aboard neighbor! I'm sure you'll enjoy that machine very much. Now if we would only get Spring to arrive!

Welcome to TBN & (shortly) the B7610 club!

While you're *patiently* (as in pacing back and forth like an expectant father... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) waiting for your lovely orange *bundle of joy* to arrive - you can browse through my B7610 "at work" pictures linked at bottom. That way you'll not get any rest: *tractor dreams* are very disruptive to normal sleep patterns. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

While I didn't buy if with clearing snow in mind - we got @ 12" of snow on Saturday - I spent @ 2.5 hours pushing snow into nice large heaps with my FEL. Now I need to get a snowblower - this pushing stuff (while great FEL practice - and kinda fun to say the least - it's not the fastest method of snow removal) is for the birds. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Cheers,

Dan

Well, spring can't come fast enough for me. This sure has been one long, cold, snowy winter around here. Plus, we just moved to a new spread and I got lots of outdoor chores calling. Enough mowing, clearing, moving etc. to keep busy for months! Seriously, my only gripe is the lack of rear remotes and a tiny alternator, but I hope to remedy that soon. Otherwise, I am tickled pink. Err... I mean orange.

You might want to get the heavy duty alternator right off the bat. It could turn out cheaper that way, or the same price but with no charge for installation. Is the dealer setting this tractor up for you? I see you mentioned it was priced "in the crate."

I'd also consider a block heater. If not for the tractor, it will make YOU feel better if the tractor is stored outside in an unheated area in middle of winter...

The rear remotes you can likely deal with yourself as a cost savings over what the Kubota hardware would run you.

Enjoy the tractor when you get it! Amazing how much work a tractor can do...

Henro - yes, it will be assembled by the dealer. I meant new in the crate vs. off-the-lot inventory. I know a few hours/months out in the winter elements is nothing more than part of the normal break-in, but there's something about brand-spankin' new! And, since I am storing in a covered building, I prefer the unweathered version. Yep I did opt for the block heater, but now think I will call about having the HD alternator dealer installed. Less wrench time = more seat time. Good idea, thanks.

Have you guys had any B7610 dealer setup problems? Any other early hour issues I should be on the lookout for, or important questions to address at time of delivery, etc.? I appreciate your insight.

dholly,

You're going to love the B7610. I've had mine for about 9 months now and I can't imagine life without it.

A couple of things to be aware of. 1st: Some folks noted a stiff throttle lever. While mine is a tad tight, I haven't made any changes. I like it just the way it is. If you find yours to be to stiff, you can loosen it. 2nd: The hydro pedal on mine and some others would bind/stick while going in reverse. Here is a thread on this issue. I opted to turn the offending pin around rather than shorten it.

I can't think of any other issues with the tractor off hand. Maybe some other owners can add some more thoughts.

Congratulations on your new tractor and best of luck with it. Be safe and enjoy!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I thought of one more item that is not B7610 specific. Its been noted several times that the Kubota MMM's are shipped with a minimal amount of grease in the spindles. Either you or your dealer will need to fill the spindles with quite alot of grease. I had one spindle take 70 pumps of grease before I saw some squeeze out. The other 2 spindles only took like 40 pumps. Just an FYI....

I didn't have any major issues - needed to tighten up a fitting in the rear hydraulics that the dealer added - maybe needed to snug up a bolt or two on the FEL. The parking brake ratchet lost a cotter pin...can't think on anything else.

While you're talking to the dealer about the HD alternator - ask if he weld on some bucket hooks. I think my dealer charged me @ $45 - but they were also painted 'Bota orange from the get-go.

Upon delivery - you'll see that taking the FEL off / back on is really easy - provided you have a flat surface. Even though you might not be mowing for awhile - ask to go through a sequence of mounting / dismounting the MMM - I think that's the trickier piece of equipment.

Final thought - if you're planning on taking her "out in the woods" during mud season - you may also want to ask about tire chains. I have been reading numerous posts in the past few months of advantages of chains vs *bare tires* - and my experience during last weekends' snow cleanup has them on my shopping list.

Other than that - you should be all set to go!

Cheers,

Dan

My last two dealers (moved) welded bucket hooks on for free. Ask him to just put them on for you and "what'll it cost"....Hopefully he just weld them on for you. Bucket hooks are necessary and shouldn't cost all that much, if anything.
