I think I've read through every backhoe thread there is on here and thought seriously about getting a BH92 to go on a yet-to-be-purchased tractor. But, I just watched an expert crew with a small, but beefy old Yanmar mini-ex dig some trenches for a geo system in my yard and man, were they going slow. I knew my ground was all clay, but had no idea how hard (and full of crap) it is. I'm now thinking a BH92 would never get any job done in a reasonable amount of time (at least in my yard).

Safe assumption?

Yes it is. Those little backhoes have their place, but stumps, big rocks, and dense clay move much easier with a full size backhoe or excavator.
