WM-8600 9' PTO Backhoe Attachment

I would not recommend purchasing the WM-8600 9' Backhoe attachment from WoodMaxx. I recently purchased WoodMaxx WM-8600 9' PTO BACKHOE ATTACHMENT for my Mahindra 4540. The product does not perform. I was attempting to dig a 2' by 2' trench and the backhoe was unable to go more than 6" in slightly rocky soil. The assembly was straight forward but the attachment was very difficult because the support legs are short and my tractor sits higher than the attachment reaches. When I contacted WoodMaxx to return the item they informed me there would be a 5% restocking fee and that I would need to pay return shipping. Return shipping was estimated at $3,000. I was unable to return the backhoe attachment with this amount of loss and it is useless for my purposes. The backhoe would only work in very soft soil or sand and this should be stated on the description. Their reviews are misleading and there seems to be very little said about its lack of performance. I was unable to leave a review on the WoodMaxx website. Unless used for very light work I would not recommend it.

Did you set it up wrong? I have the 8' 7600 model and it's very strong.

First off, every seller I know of has a restocking fee, some more some less and reading the fine print on their website would probably have stated that and return shipping is always the responsibility of the purchaser.

Couple questions, One, did it come with a tractor specific subframe? The reason I ask is because frameless backhoes that mount to the 3 point hitch arms and top link put an inordinate amount of stress on the rear section of any tractor and can cause failure of the rear end and transmission castings.

Two, did it come with an external pto driven hydraulic pump or is it plumbed into the tractor's hydraulic system, if it's weak, sounds like it's plumbed wrong. My preference would be an external pto driven hydraulic pump and external hydraulic tank over any 'plumbed in' system which is entirely dependent on your tractor's hydraulic flow...

More information is really required.
