Carey and someone on the first page were closest to correct.
I broke the left side cover.
I ordered a left side cover.
The cover they sent was a RIGHT side cover. The only difference, and I had not noticed it, is that the adjusting nut, (which is straight up from the actuating cam) is slightly forward of the top bolt. When you put the cover on the wrong side...... the extension of that angle throws the whole thing out of whack by about 4". I called the guy at the online parts place and he's sending me the correct cover and a new gasket.
