Another BX tool box

I also use ammo boxes for tools and chains, etc..
As I built my own ROPS, I welded up a couple of 50mm (2") angle iron trays and welded them to the ROPS at the same time.

My personal opinion on the matter is that you can do whatever you want to your ROPS. However, any modifications to the ROPS whether it be drilling holes or welding should be done with the knowledge that you likely (I said "likely" as it will certainly vary from case to case) forfeit any and all claims against the manufacturer should there be an incident where the ROPS fail. Their lawyers would have a field day with the fact that you modified the ROPS and they weren't retested for certification after your modifications. If you're cool with this, so be it. If you decide to sell the tractor the modified ROPS should be removed and replaced with original manufacturer's certified ROPS before selling (to protect yourself from liability claims if the ROPS were to fail for the new owner).

Do what you want with your ROPS. Just be aware of the (potential) ramifications of your modifications.

Later,

BR

No offense, but this thread is about toolboxes.

The ROPS issue has been beaten to death all over this site.

No offense taken. You're right. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Back on topic. I picked up a 30 cal. ammo box today and it fits my fender perfectly. I'm going to grab another one tomorrow for the other fender. I'll use one for my chain and gloves, and the other for misc. tools. The stock plastic box behind the seat will be relegated to holding 3PH clips and pins, e-clips, etc. I'll post pictures, probably in the Mahindra forum, once I get them mounted/painted.

Again, my apologies for drifting off topic,

BR
