Boy I sure wished some of that cold came here. The colder it is the happier I am. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Are you confused? I'm not. You see if it is above 90 with high humidity levels or below twenty below with windchills of let's say -60, I am a happy camper.

Easier said than done!
It's hard to think about summer when you're standing outside
and it's -11F and the boss wants to know why the generator won't start.
You delicately explain that the fuel is gelled because "they" were too cheap to buy
some winter blend in the fall.
Yesterday I spent 21 hours running around trying to get 3 Onan 44K
gen-sets up and running. All had gelled fuel. Many trips to the gas station
for kerosine, anti-gell and a 5 foot piece of copper pipe to stir.
Fortunately there was enough room in the tank for the kerosine.
Finally I made a tent out of some tarps and heated the whole unit up
with my Readi-Heater.

Think I'll tack on a few hours of OT for using my equipment.
I'm guessing right now that I've got about a 25% mixture of
diesel(summer blend) - kerosine. Hope it stays warm. 16F today.
