Another Day of Stump Wrangling

I suppose for the gadget nut, one can never have too many remote hydraulics; kinda like garage space. Whatever you think you need, better double or triple it.

Glad to help. The idea of using a momentary switch to divert the curl/dump circuit to operate a grapple came from the TBN hydraulics forum. Tons of good information there! My next hydraulic project might be installing a manual double-selector valve like this:

It would be up high on the back on the back so I can easily use it while in the seat. I only have one rear remote and need to be able to divert from the 3 pt. top link to a side link for a tilt function. Sure wish I had bought and installed the dual-rear remote kit from LS instead of the single kit.

How about one of these units

I am sure you could get them other places but it looks easier.

I did consider an electric diverter, but thought it would be overkill for a top-n-tilt. I'm guessing I'll be using the top link a lot more than the side link. (Anybody with a T-N-T should feel free to offer opinions here.) For the few times when I do want to adjust the side link I'll just reach behind me and pull up the knob on the diverter. The manual valve is only $85 and I can't think of any good reason to go with the extra expense for an electric valve. Haven't even priced a hydraulic side link yet.

Here's how I mounted mine. And as you mentioned a more affordable option. Mine works great for my TnT and single factory control valve.

Very nice! I was planning to mount it in almost the same place, but on the plate behind he fuel tank (facing the other way) with just the knob poking up. Did you fabricate the mounting bracket yourself? Looks like it is real easy to operate and in a convenient spot as you'll already be looking over you right shoulder when adjusting the side link.

(rwork - sorry about hijacking your "Stump Wrangling" thread!)

No problem, I'm taking notes, because eventually I'll need an additional valve when I add rear tilt/top.

Here's another pic from the rear. Yes I did fabricate the bracket. Drilled two holes and mounted.

That looks a lot cleaner than what I was considering, so I might do the same. OK, one last question (if you don't mind): Who sold you the side link cylinder? I got my top link from Carter & Carter Machinery and noticed it looks just like yours (same color with the check valves and all.)

FitRite Hydraulics (MtnViewRanch on this site) Brian has developed a very good reputation being very knowledgeable with fair pricing and quality work.

Thanks for the info. I just checked his site and the S3010 isn't listed. Guess I'll have to measure the side link, though I bet it's going to be the same as the one on the G3033 (which he does have listed.)
