It is easy to determine a current drain with an ammeter.

I agree and I plan to do so as soon as I get a chance. I posted this in hopes that someone might have an idea of where to start (I got lucky with the advice I found regarding the relay switch for starting - saved me a lot of time). As always I appreciate all of your contributions of ideas and suggestions.

It may be a few weeks before I can get to it, but I will be sure to post my findings.
