I recently order a fork attchment for my tractors... In the mean time I was giving a lead on here to a set of forks which I also purchased... What I wanna do now is build me another attachment outta this set of forks so I can keep a set here and a set at my business... Looking for ideas and pics on how some of you guys have already did this, I have a few ideas in mind just looking for some more options... Please keep in mind im not looking to just build a bucket attachment but want this one also to be a independent quick attachment... Thanks in advance!!!

If you don't have some heavy metal like the original frame maybe you could make a frame out of heavy angle iron. To strengthen the horizontal pieces the forks hang on you could weld in a piece of flat to form a triangle. Leave the flat brace far enough from the edge of the angle so as not to interfere with the forks.

Just a thought.

Congrats on the forks you'll find all kinds of uses for them.

When I got my used forks last year I was planning on building my own frame, but due to material availabity in my area and doubting my own welding skills I just purchased a frame.
Wnat I planned was something like this picture. Using 2"X3"X 1/4" wall tubing for top & bottom frame then weld bar stock to it for top and bottom fork clips. The outer frame would have been 1/4" flat stock.

Thanks for the ideas guys... My thoughts are to build a cframe from channel and to use the flat bar for the forks to hang and slide on... I have the channel and flat bar already so thats why im leaning that way... I also have the quick attachment bracket hangers that I had purchased at John Deere for something else... I have always done my own welding and frabricating so I dont have to pay anyone to do this for me... Im thinking with the purchase of the forks and having my own metal, I should only have about 100 or so bucks in this thing.... I still welcome all ideas and thoughts.... Thanks

Chris
