Another front mount plow question with a new twist.

I think you will tear that plow up.

And since you are talking under $500, I assume it is manual angle as well?

6-7' truck plows used, plow only, commonly run $200-$300 in my area. Take off they hydraulic angle cylinders (because most have holes to angle manually), make brackets to attach the two pins, and you are done. Heavier duty plow, probably less money.

Its when you get into the hydraulics, that the cost goes up. OR making a frame mount as opposed to loader mount.

In my part of the country, you will not find a truck plow for less than $1,500. I have watched CL for two months and search a 200 mile area. Nothing for less than $1,500 in that time, except one really old beat up blade with no mount of any kind. It was $300. We just don't have the same used market in Idaho that you have in Ohio.

I and many others don't have the tools, experience or desire to modify or weld and just want/need plug and play.

It is an easy choice for me. Sold the UTV but they did not take the plow, so I already own it. For less than $200 I can mount it on the tractor. Gives me the best of both worlds. My rear 60" blower or front 73" blade.

Between skid shoes, trip springs and usually only pushing a foot or so of snow, there is no way my tractor will damage this plow.

I think you will tear that plow up.

Same here. All used plows have a "gold plated" price, even incomplete, worn-out ones.

Maybe someone should buy up all those $200-$300 plows, haul them west, and double their money. :)
