I have a 1401d which has recently developed a leak somewhere around the filter bowl. It appears to be coming from the shut-off switch, but there is also a little leakage at the fuel line connections to the bowl/filter. Could there be a seal gone bad at the shut-off? If so, would I have to replace the entire fuel shut-off assembly?

Also, this is probably a dumb question, but
would high temperatures have anything to do with the leaking? I recently built a small pole barn to store the tractor; it has hardly any ventilation--and it's been fairly hot here in recent weeks.
Thanks

I doubt it is any hotter than the heat comming off the engine while working it.

Also check the hoses in/out clamps and connections. I had one start to leak like that and it was just a loose hose clamp.

Thanks, everybody, for the help! I'll check it out tonight--and hopefully, stop the leak.
I'll get back with what I find.
Thanks again!
