Yes... years of drought hit the boating industry very hard... plus added restrictions.

The last time I put in at Lake Tahoe it was about a $100 including the mandatory mussel inspection fee.

I'd just try to start it. Maybe it will run fine. I had some 7 year old gas in my pickup that I didn't drive for a long time, and it started right up. Good old Chevy V8.

BINGO! I'd take the plugs out, put some lube in the cylinders through the plug holes and turn it over for 5-10 seconds. Then let the starter cool, and repeat. Do that several times to make sure everything is freed up. Then put the plugs back in, turn on the fuel, give it a shot of starting fluid and try to start it. See what happens before going through the troubles of finding problems that may not exist.

That will generate some oil pressure as well, not a bad idea. The oil is old, too.
