Actually took delivery last Friday but just getting around to posting. Still waiting on my 62D deck but dealer loaned me the 60" RFM. I know it's still the honeymoon but so far I am well pleased. More power than I expected, great turning radius, no problems at all so far. Some pics for your viewing pleasure. Even took a pic of my first bucket of dirt (year old horse poo)!

jfrady congrats nice looking tractor.

How long did it take from order to delivery?

I ordered mine 5 weeks and two days ago.

I feel guilty saying but... it was in stock. I picked up 2 days after ordering. My 62D is slated for mid July but my dealer had a return 60" RFM that he let me borrow.

Congrats on the new tractor! I had mine for a little over a month and it has been outstanding! My grass cutting went from 2.5-3 hours to 1 hour! I also love the bucket teeth, it's unbelievable how much digging you can do with them installed!! Make sure you let us know how you like the MMM.....

Congratulations.

When they install the 62D, you should have them swap the rear tires into the wide position. The deck lift mechanism can contact the inside of the rear tires and cut grooves into the sidewalls if they are in the narrow position. It also makes it safer when using the FEL.

Thanks for the advice pdp11. I'll do that.

Congratulations!
I have had mine for almost 2 weeks and it has been great! I have used the MMM a couple of times and had 6 loads of fill delivered :licking:

Mine was delivered two days ago. I waited over a month for it, supposedly for two reasons: First, in spite of the dark economy story, they're selling like hotcakes; second, I wanted turf R3 tires, and one just wasn't available in that configuration.

The next part of the delay was because of the installation of options (the SCV Diverter Kit, Independent Lift Kit, Mulch Kit for the 62D, and Rear Lighting Kit).

But it's here, and I have some learning to do.

I had a JD 755 for twenty years before this one.

Hey Art
Welcome to TBN:)
It will be "fun learning",I can guarantee you that!
That (2520) is one sweet machine for sure.
Good luck with your new machine.

Thanks Greg!

My nephew has a new 2320. We spent one 98-degree day two weeks ago taking his 54" deck off and installing a mulch kit on it.

Reason why I mention this is because I cut our grass yesterday and I'm not happy with the results. Deep grass seemed to produce swirls in laying-down grass. Because *I* replaced the blades on my nephew's deck, now I'm wondering if they put my mulching blades on upside down?

(A little bit of knowledge is dangerous.)

Haven't had much time, but I wanted to close the loop on this. The dealer actually did install the 62D blades upside down. So, besides blowing the grass downward, the blades were rubbing the grass to death instead of cutting---hence the circular patterns in the lawn.

We used the 200CX loader to lift the front end off the ground, reached underneath and flipped all three blades and that resolved that problem.

Hey Art bumped into your closing post. My new 62d deck doesn't seem to cut that well and I though it was the lay of the land so to speak.

If I flip my deck over or peek under it with a mirror will it be that obvious that the blades were installed upside down?

Guess I had a brain cramp last evening. I decided to do the unthinkable and read the owners manual. Looks as simple as making sure the cutting edge is on the bottom. I'll check it later this morning.

Thanks Art.
I just took a look under my 62D deck and my blade were installed correctly.

And just to verify, I just finished cutting a 2-1/2 acre grass lot and I'm pretty impressed with the 62D deck. Very happy with it. Nice clean cut, very even and consistent.

I would be happier with the Independent Lift Kit if the control was in a more convenient location. Down near my right foot is not convenient. I can kick it back with my right heel, but it's not easy to pull out while reaching way down there. I'd say they took the easy way out with their design, rather than going for ease of use.

In conjunction with a previous post, I used to cut this lot with a little borrowed LT155. Much to my surprise, I honestly believe that the 2520 has a tighter turning radius than that LT155!

Great to hear how well it is going. Can you clarify what knob you are referring too by your right foot? Is it the push pull lever for the hydraulic valve?

This control (that is down behind your right heel) is mechanically coupled to the diverter valve that is the main hydraulic controller of the Independent Lift Kit.

My guess is that the name "diverter valve" comes from the fact that the hydraulic pressure is diverted from the bucket curling (dumping) cylinders to the MMM lift arms.

With the control pulled forward (you can hook two fingers under it), toward the front of the tractor, when you curl the bucket with the SACV the MMM does not move up or down. With the control pushed aft, when you move the SACV toward you the MMM elevates and the bucket does not curl (or dump); when you move the SACV away from you (to the right) the MMM goes down and the bucket sits still.
