Tractor
Bought a used Kubota MX 5000, FEL, BH, - Dec. 2011. Traded in my beloved 1967 MF 135D. Miss the old reliable girl but I understand she promptly found a new home - a replacement for an older 8N.
Just joined - retired and approaching senior status. Have owned a 1967 MF 135d with Allied FEL for over 25 years. Like the MF tractor with one exception - don't like the 2 wheel drive (traction) when using the loader. So with with 5 different properties totaling about 400 acres am considering purchasing a FWD model that is trailerable using a pickup truck.

Welcome to the list. I can identify with your situation. My first tractor with a loader was a Ford 4000 2WD, heck when I bought it no one around here had 4WD tractors. Now, I can't imagine a tractor without 4WD.

Welcome aboard! This is one heck of a place for tractor/operation info. Better than a library.

You may have already operated a tractor with 4wd, but if you haven't, you will be pleasantly surprised with the difference in power. I can move some pretty heavy loads of brush/trash, etc. with my 41 hp Kioti Dk40se when in 4wd. Try to do it in 2wd and it will sit there and dig a couple of holes. I wouldn't pay hard earned money for a 2wd of any kind.

Have fun on here and looking for a 4wd tractor. Let us know what you come up with.
