JD90 skid steer
Hi All: Was searching for a site to tell me how to take my hydraulic cylinder apart and happened upon this forum. I got the info I was looking for so joined up. Now,go easy on me because I dont have a tractor but rather, an old JD90 Skid Steer. This site just seemed like a place where a question about my old skidster would get answered so here I am. I still dont have the dang thing apart because I just read on here that I should squeeze the cylinder with a vise before turning the large nut on the end of the cylinder. Anyway I will let you know if I can stop swearing after tomorrow or not. terry

Well, Im still swearing. Tried squeezing the cylinder to avail. I can turn the cylinder nut and everything just keeps turning inside. All of this is being done with the cylinder still on the loader because I cant get the attachment pin driven out. Tried everything but the dang pin won drive out. I did get two pins out that attach the framework with the cylinders attached to the loader so I guess I will take it all in to the implement dealer and see if there is anything they can do to get the pins out and hopefully be able to take the cylinders apart to put the new seals in. I was close to just cutting the pins and getting new cylinders but we'll see how they do. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the welcomes.
