Another NH dealer closing?

I do understand what is being said here. I would like to make it known that where we are located, there really aren't any "local" dealers for NH. We are located where our closest dealers are in the middle of CT, and then in the middle of western MA (which is now unfortunately closed). This being said, if I had known that driving an extra hour away from either of these places to save a couple grand was going to be such a nightmare, I would have bought from one of the closer ones, although still not really local. Honestly I wish we did have a more local dealer. We have JD, Kubota, but no close by NH dealer. Either way, whether near or far, it is a shame one can't rely on a simple handshake anymore :(

Jaymar421--I am having the same tick on my New Holland t1510 after my 50 hr service. New holland says there is nothing wrong but replaced the rocker arm assembly and extended warranty an extra year. I am still not satisfied and wondered if you were able to finally get a new tractor out of New holland. Thanks

How far is you nearest NH dealer? If its as bad as you say I would have looked at other brands much closer just for convenience. I really wish the warranty situation wasn't as bad as it is with tractor dealerships because its basically the homeowners that get shafted the worst.

But I still believe the OEM's are not changing in order to protect each dealers territory. But by going to large dealers with multiple stores they are in a way addressing it. My local Jd dealer (Z&M) has 6 stores. Go further towards CNY and that dealer (Lakeland ) has multiple stores as well. So unless you live in between their large territories you really don't run into warranty issues because I can buy a Jd, drive 80-100 miles (give or take) and still have warranty work done by the same dealership.

One of our techs discovered the oil pump port block installed incorrectly in a "ticking" T1510. A nut protruding from the back of the port block was contacting the #1 connecting rod, or maybe a counterwieght on the crankshaft. I don't remember which (I wasn't directly involved in the repair). A properly oriented port block fixed it.

Thank you RickB. You are first person to be able to give me some kind of answer. I will let you know what comes of the information.

I spoke with the rep just today and he informed me of this same information. I can't tell you how happy it made me to finally hear something can be done! Such a feeling of relief. Hopefully when they take it back in, it will fix the problem and I will finally be 100% happy with my tractor :) Thanks, Rick, for passing this on to me as well

Closest one was about 45 minutes away, but they are out of business now. The next closest is probably about an hour away, then we start hitting the 2 hour mark and goes up from there.... I am actually waiting for a call from a regional rep to let me know where to bring it for the new found repair to be made. At this point, I will bring it wherever I have to if they can fix the problem :)

Jaymar421-Since your NH is still under warranty, the dealership is responsible for pick up and delivery if service work is needed. Everytime mine has been in the shop they have picked it up at my house. They are roughly 45 minutes away. The dealership owner said they just charge it to warranty.
