Hello, I purchased a used PHD with no Operators manual. My question here is regarding lubrication in the gearbox housing of the PHD. There is a "screw in plug" on the top and a "screw in plug" on the upper side of the housing. I am assuming that the top plug is for filling and the side plug is used to determine fill level and to drain if needed. My
question is what is the correct lubrication for a PHD housing? It smells like HD gear oil. I DO NOT know the make but am assuming that all PHD housings might take the same lubrication. Am I correct about the side plug being for fill level? I would greatly appreciate any advise. I wrote earlier about the stuck PTO shaft and those that answered were so helpfull. Thank you.
