John Bud,
To get into the barrel question. I now live in a wine region. When first coming here i was invited to a far neighbour his wine cellar. Home made wines no blends and no chemicals bla bla bla. Now one moment he mentions he makes about 2000 liter of wine, roughly 500 gallon per year.
So i asked who his customers were. Got an odd look and a grumbled answer: ...are you crazy its barely enough for the family to survive on 1 year.
Now on the pressure, 250 must be the setting of the system relief valve. It is too nicely 250 exact.
The relief valve of the FEL states 200Bar and the relieve valve of the remotes 250Bar. I guess it is a mix of standards between japan / US / europe for agricultural hydraulic devices.
The 1000psi at idle is caused by the 3pt.If i take out the 3pt from the circuit it nicely drops to 5-10 bar (75 to 150 psi).
As mentioned this is with the 3pt in a position between down and up. In the extremes the pressure drops again to 75-150psi.
I talked about it with a friend who owns an old ZETOR AG tractor and he said this was also the case on his. Therefore he is never transporting in a middle position but only in the up or down position. 'Stupid to have your pump working all the time' was his comment.
Going from this i looked at the pre-set low position handle and found that this only engages the shut off valve of the 3pt earlier than in the complete down position. This shut off valve is (by levers engaged by the 3pt arms) closed in 2 positions, down and up.
So i suppose this is normal on this type of 3pt??
Dont get me wrong, i dont want to be the ***** that needs to have the last word on everyting, just want to share what i see and listen to you all who are into it for a long time.
