Another ROPS question

International Tractor 444 ~~~~~w/ full hydraulics & equipment~~~

Take a look at the ROPS on this tractor for sale on craigslist. All the pix I see of IH 444's show them without a ROPS. Do you think this one is homemade or an aftermarket?

I know craigslist ads expire, so I'll snag the images and insert them so they will be here for future readers of this thread.

Looks homemade to me. The welds look like they have some rust on them where they weren't painted over after welding.

Factory four-post IH ROPS. They offered that same set-up on tractors small and large. Most IH industrials of that era (equipped with ROPS) had that same type.

I think I jinxed myself, because I clicked on the link to get the number and the post was deleted! That tractor has been posted for weeks and the day I decide to look at it is the day it gets sold.

So what's your life worth? For under a grand you can fit a new fully certified ROPS & seat belt & have peace of mind. I can't believe that after all the data on roll-overs etc, tractor operators are still struggling with the workplace health & safety message! Best, Ged
