First off I'm not real clear on all the API ratings.
I've noticed the Rotella synthetic is API rated for CH 4/SL. (I think)
I've got a 3cyl. Daihatsu diesel that is supposed to use API rated CF or CG oil.
Would the Rotella be a problem ? The engine has about 65 hrs. on it.
Thanks, GrayBeard

I can feel my "multi-language" skills evolving by the minute !
If its not a "true" synthetic, does it still have the same flow properties a low temps. ?

Yes, it will. You will never know the difference.(except maybe in the Arctic) It is all a technicality, about how the the end product is arrived at. You will get lower wear, lower fuel consumption and the possibility of extended change intervals with either oils.
