Rob, they were supposedly "on sale"; $199.99 without the Easy Start (my dealer calls it the Granny Start) system and $239.99 with it, plus 8% sales tax. I figured that $40 option is good for Grandpas as well as Grannys. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'm sure the vibration isn't bad to most folks, but even the manual warns that prolonged use exposes the operator to vibrations that "may produce whitefinger disease (Raynaud's phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome." I never heard of that first one, but I've had surgery on both hands for carpal tunnel problems.

Bird, have you seen the gel-filled gloves. My neighbor told me bout them, he rekons thay are real good against vibration. never tried them myself but might be worth a try.

Mith, I saw some of the gel filled gloves a few years ago. At that time, they seemed rather bulky and awkward for me, but I'm going to be looking into that again now.
