Today while spreading lime and fertilizer on my two horse pastures, each time I got off the seat to refill the spreader, the tractor wanted to shut off. I knew the issue was with the PTO but today, I just couldn't find the sweet spot on the lever for the engine to not die. I shut the tractor down properly and sat for a few minutes thinking what else it could be. I then remembered seeing posts about checking the linkages and never thought this would be the case for me. Low and behold, I found something stuck in the linkage, dried up horse manure!! I never thought that a little poo would cause so much trouble.
