Easy to unload? Very easy as I use 4 5000lbs cargo straps and on this occasion didn't even bother with the ramps.

Careful the chain people are going to come out and say straps are no good (pssst, I use straps to ).

As far as backing off the trailer, i sort of took notes from folks around here, a tractor is a lot heavier than an ATV so the tractor puts a lot more stress on a bumper and hitch and ball. So I put a jack on the back of my trailer to take the load off the truck hitch. Just a cheap HF model but it works great.

That's exactly how I did the brake job on one of my trailers. Much faster than a jack doing one at a time.

I took my forklift down to Astor, Fl a while back, and had to change not one, or two, but five tires. Started out with almost new, good tires, and the ones I put on were close to being "junk". Did what I had to to get it there, which was made one long night. I took my "ugly dump trailer" when I went to pick it back up. Durn forklift is heavy!!

Blocking the tires is a great 2nd step... blocking the back of the trailer so it can't squat down and lift the truck up in the first place is a great 1st step.

Chocks around tires , yeah thought of that after the fact but wasn't too worried as we were on level ground. and the jack on the back sounds like a great idea thanks.

I don't know why the tractor was even involved. Couldn't the GIANT whose enormous finger is in the one picture just pick up the trailer with the tractor on it?
