Oh NO!
I must be facing BIG trouble!
Each of my 3 old Fords sit for about 10 months every year (with battery tender attached).
Now I learn that "sitting around an awful lot" is about to kill them!
I have owned one for 46 years, another for 30 years (but is 47 years old), and the 3rd for only 3 years, but it is 29 years old, and has only 1000 hours (I use each of my Fords less than 15 hours per year).
They are not rotting away yet!
Well, you got me there! But you know what they say concerning staying active instead of sitting around all the time. I know that's true for an old coot like me, and I've concluded it also applies to equipment in some degree. Actually, I've got a '49 Farmall M that mostly just sits, like your Fords. And guess what? It always did leak some (when you get old, that happens), but there are more leaks every year I have it.
