If you own a goldmine and 3 oil wells! ;)

I've bought a few things from 'em. Plenty of inventory, and they've got more'n enough of my money now.

Also, try these fine folks! Most helpful and reasonable prices.

Yes, antique restorations is a dieing hobby, at least among my friends.

I'm soon to be a 40 year member of the Model A Ford Club and I was the youngest local chapter member just about all 40 years.

Lots of the guys had great talent and could machine/fabricate just about any part... this is no longer the case. It is also hard to refinish or even buy the paints needed for restorations.

All of the old lacquers and enamels with hardeners have been legislated away and anyone spraying outdoors must be reported to the authorities under air pollution ordinances.

I think its all part of a societal shift as the country continues to leave it farming and manufactureing roots behind... very sad indeed.

Would not say its dying but it is slowing down, high cost of parts transportation regulations etc, have all taken their toll, I agree there does not appear to be much interest shown by younger people, my kids keep telling me to find something better to
do with my spare time.

Trust me on this one....When your kids get older, they'll become interested in their heritage. That MAY include YOUR interest in old tractors. Seen t hapen MANY times. We ALL become our parents when we get older.

And then there's GRANDKIDS.... They'll take after grampa even before your own kids do.

Just keep in mind you're keeping alive your families future when you keep alive YOUR past.
