Just thought I'd start a new thread to chronicle the use of my Antonio Carraro tractor on my property in NC.

Here's an aerial shot with the old logging roads crudely traced.

Here are some pictures from my first outing with my setup (back in March2007):

It did a fantastic job, IMO

But then THIS happened:

I patched the tire and ran the tractor and mulching head around my house (in GA).

Then I sent all of the tires to be foam filled.
Got 'em mounted back up.

My wife and I have been dealing with the legal headaches that have arisen from our house-building adventure up at the NC property.

And so the tractor didn't return to the property until recently.

Here are some pics from that outing, finally starting in on the trails:

I decided to spend about an hour blasting up a trail I've never been able to navigate before. It has always been too overgrown with trees, briars, etc.

These pics are from one mulching trip up and then back down.
Next time I'm up there with more fuel, I'll widen the path some more.

Basically what it looked like before:

With bigger trees here and there.

What it looks like now:

I've also spent some more time in that first location (which is behind my studio).

My neighbor also has helped regrade some stuff in this area with his excavator.

Now I need to fill up the tank, grease all the fittings, and get back out there and really spend some time opening up the old logging trails. I sure wish I didn't have to drive 3 hours to get up there!!

I'll post more pics as I make more progress.

:D

Edit: I apologize for duplicating part of another thread I had previously started.
I have to admit that I forgot I started it. Oops. The old thread certainly had a catchier title. ;)

Nice setup Raw. I don’t believe anyone else on the forum has anything like that. I sure could use it on some property we have that needs a serious clean up. Keep the photos coming as you make progress on the property.

RAW, This is very good information and pictures. Please post this information under CONSTRUCTION. That is where us mulching freaks hang out. You will get responses.

Yeah, I hang out in Construction a lot too.

But I figured Projects was the most appropriate location for this.

Raw,

If you want to park that tractor for a while, I have a nice spot in Wisconsin ....

By the way, your property looks great!

RAW, I did not mean for you not to post here. Apoligize if it came across wrong. Post on both.

It's all good. I knew what you meant. I was just trying to say that I was confused about which forum would be more fitting (so as not to double-post . . . too much).
