Yanmar Quality to a Mahindra ? Longevity of the Yanmar is Huge !
Who even makes the Mahindra ? I think it has a Mitsubishi engine, someone else's Transmission, Someone else's Loader , etc ? Yanmar builds their own tractor - Yanmar Engine, Yanmar Transmission and a Yanmar Loader.

With the Current Rebates - You should be able to buy a Yanmar 424 W/Front end loader for Under $15,000 with Block Heater and Loaded Tires.
I like Yanmar, they build a good product, even though they have zero Tier IV >26HP product available currently. And if you want larger than 26HP, you get left over Cub Cadet yellow models that were manufactured when exactly? 2012?
I figured you would know more about Mahindra, but since you are wondering about who builds what....Mahindra sells more tractors worldwide than any brand, I think that is when you count 20-85HP. Mahindra does not have much of a presence in HP over 85. Of the 200k plus units they sell per year, the vast majority of them are built by Mahindra at Mahindra facilities. They even cast their own engine blocks, etc.
The USA is an odd market compared to the rest of the world. We are an affluent society where non-farmers buy a tractor because it is handy. Mahindra has never built their own small tractor, so they do use Mitsubishi and TYM to build much of the smaller product that is sold in the USA, but they still supply the USA with a bunch of Mahindra made product.
Yanmar was the supplier for small tractors for John Deere for years, so you are familiar with the way the tractor world works. Iseki supplies Massey and did supply some of Cats small tractors. Shibaura and LS supply for NH. This is a reality in today's market.
Is it cool that Yanmar builds about everything in house? Yes, I think so. I prefer that, however it can also create issues. Try finding a 35-45-50 or whatever size current Yanmar in the USA right now that is Tier IV and you will get goose eggs. It will be 2016 before we see much in the way of >26HP Yanmar product. That's a problem for a dealer I think.
We can agree that Yanmar is a premium brand and great quality. I like Yanmar. I have a Takeuchi excavator and a Takeuchi track loader and some Doosan forklifts and they all use Yanmar diesels. They run great.
As far as the post you were responding too with the Max28 to the Yanmar 424, that Mitsu built Max28 is an awesome machine...even by Yanmar standards.
