There are a couple price guides (real guides not the ones you see in TSC) They list all the tractors made by scale and are updated every year. Ebay is not a good place to find out what a toy is worth as they sell for a lot more on ebay then at live auctions. The two price guides are Nolt's and Dick's price guide. One deals with all scales and the other is mostly 1/16 and pedals. Kate Bossen is one of the many who keep track of the auction results and constantly updates the price guide.

So yes I do collect toy tractors /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif as well as toy trucks and 1/50 and 1/32 construction. I have no idea how many models I have any more. I collect all scales of farm models and I ran out of room a long time ago so now I just keep stacking them up till I get a bigger display room. )</font>

Nolts and Dicks Price guide ARE the ones for sale at TSC..... ONE IN THE SAME...

I wish I had your TSC then. All they have up here are the junk guides that don't cover much of anything.

Attached is my pedal tractor that I got for Christmas as a kid. I think it is about 32 years old now. Of course it has been completely restored.

TSC manager actually put up a suggestion box at the service counter. He listens to what the customers want. Anything he can do (with-in corperate limits) he'll do. The owner/franchisee has been involved with TSC for at least 30 years. I remember it being there that long, and it looked "old" when I first remember it. From what I hear, this is one of their highest grossing stores in the chain. Maybe there's a good reason. (WELL RUN STORE, CATERING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS WANTS AND NEEDS) (Novel concept, huh?)

I will see what I can do here. If they can order the guides thru the corporation then I do not think they would have much trouble adding them to the list and selling them right next to the toy tractors if they want.

On a side note, my TSC is in a huge building. Much larger then they ever needed so they closed the back side down with a row of shelves. However, the entire back of the store is empty and there is a lot of room. They have offered this area to the local tractor club to move their toy show there. They will even promote the show for them as long as the TSC name is on top of the flyer.

You can't be a true tractor nut without a few "carpet tractors". I have the original JD 60 and JD 40 crawler that I was given 50 years ago. I lost count of the 1/16th tractors and have over 300 of the 1/64th. I would have to say that the 1/64th Heston tractors are about my favorites. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That would be my daughter Katelyn when she was about 2. She will be 8 this month. If she tried to ride that tractor now her knees would hit her in the chin!
