Most of the Christmas tree farms down here in Texas are family owned and operated. Never tried it myself but have a co=worker that does it for his family farm. They do spend a fair amount of time through out the year shaping and watering. Then after Thanksgiving its a full time job as most have a cut your own farm. None of them are getting rich but on a small scale it keeps them busy and puts a little extra money in there pocket.
