I been kinda tooling along for years -- ever since the Compuserve days ordering premium coffee over the net (no pictures just text in those days) and have tried dozens of brewing options.

Well, compared to Folgers that gags me I was making some pretty fair coffee.

Now this dude on another BB I frequent gets me going on the new state of the art...

Blew $300 on a coffee press, a new grinder and a roaster and can't wait for it all to arrive.

Anybody else nuts out there? LOL

Well I must admit I do like my coffee..brb..my third cup ready. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
I tried just about all the brewed coffee in my area plus from Cool Bean,Vermont Coffee etc..even the wild name ones..French Vanilla to Peanutbutter brewed coffee./w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
Number 1 brew coffee would be from Vermont /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Number 1 instant coffee would be Maxwell House./w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif
I'm a instant Maxwell House coffeeholic...don't mess w/my coffee/w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif...One and almost half spoon ful to a cup and black..now drinking between 10 to 12 cups a day,and when winter also cabin fever sits in 12 to 16 cups per day. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

"You got your coffee in my peanutbutter"
"You got your peanutbutter in my coffee"
Two great tastes that should realy be apart.

You sound like a connoisseur, I on the other hand am just a coffeeholic.

Yes, I drink coffee at all hours of the day. It doesn't matter what kind of coffee, gas station coffee, thick black ooze that has been on the burner for 8 hours, fourty weight, even the bottomless cup served at a greasy spoon where the pot hasen't been washed all year and the waitress wears polyester and calls you "hon" :)

I wish I were an obsessed coffee drinker /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Instead, I'm an obsessed caffiene addict who doesn't care for the taste of coffee. Instead it's 3-4 cans of diet Pepsi or diet Mountain Dew a day. I've even gotten to the point where I drink it at room temperature so I can bring a case into work and not have to run down the hall to a fridge. First can is usually empty by 7:00 am. Any tips on converting me to coffee /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Dan -- Coffee got me through grad school, so it's been my drug of choice for years. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif For the last few years I've been a geek supporting the production side of a gourmet coffee roaster in Vermont. As a result, I have access to all the premium Arabica beans I want, as well as a coffee lab and both mini- and micro-roasters. So for me it's no big deal to come up with a custom blend (light roast of Organic Peruvian High Grown with the inherent sugars just barely carmelized mixed with a darker roast of Kenyan AA or ..?)

Yes, coffee is an important part of my life! /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Peanut butter coffee reminds me of my sister in laws obsession....Garlic. She managed to find a place that made garlic ice cream....yech!/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

My coffee of choice is Tasters Choice hazelnut instant with some hazelnut fat free creamer to sweeten it up a bit. Not really in love with coffee so much as I like something warm in the morning. I put one of those instant hot water thingys in and it couldn't be easier(lazy).

Ack!! Diet Pepsi or Diet Mountain Dew.... no redeeming value in anything that's diet. Live large - go for the high test.

As far as coffee, I brew my 48 oz of usually 8 O'Clock French or Columbian Roast when I get up. Then I'm done for the day.
Occassionally have a cup when having dinner out.

As far as the specialty brews, I like Hazelnut or Vanilla. That with either half and half or heavy creme.... yum!!!

Now I have to ask a question, what is a coffee press? A roaster I can understand, but a coffee press??!!??

Another pressing question - cups. Personnaly, I like the mega cup size. Holds around 12 - 14oz. Those puny dinner tea cups - may as well be a demitasse (sp?) cup. There is one member whose cup size is legendary.... no response necessary /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

If you can't get a least three fingers in the handle, it's a girls cup./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
